Episode 8: Walking by Faith not by Fear with Guest Keisha Bass

In today's episode I sit down with Keisha Bass, and really go deep on some of the stages that a marriage can go through. How to trust your partner. How to walk with faith not by fear. 
 
Keisha Bass is the Founder and CEO of Her Dope Marriage. She’s a Wife Coach, Mother, Entrepreneur, Author, and Motivational Speaker. She empowers female professionals and entrepreneurs of faith to walk through the different seasons of marriage with confidence using tangible strategies to enhance their marriage.  
 
Keisha left Corporate America after about 22 years of working in IT.  She followed her heart and God’s instructions to coach women and couples. 
Keisha sees hard moments in marriage as opportunities to trust God. The union between husband and wife is purposed by God to do great things together for His glory on Earth. 
 
She’s been married for over 32 years to her high school sweetheart, Chris. They have two adult children, Lakia and Chris.

Episode 7: Back To The Fundamentals In A New Season

In this solo episode, I share experiencing a shift that has required for me to go back to my fundamental process in this new season. And for me it was really revisiting my step up method. 
I had to go back to the basics things I know worked for me before to help me overcome some of things that are coming up for me in this new season.
So today I ask you this question for your consideration, what fundamental routes do you need to revisit to get you back on track? 
The days of being busy and booked are no longer cute. Being healthy and sane is far more valuable to me. And therefore I share this as a reminder that even when you need to go back to the simple steps, it's ok to give yourself permission to do so. The beautiful part about revisiting those familiar steps is that although the journey may look slightly different, the process to get to where you are trying to go may still be the same.
Don't overthink, don't second guess. May this 4Q be your best yet.

Episode 6: Stay Anchored with Guest Dr. Kerrie Carter-Walker

In this episode I sat with Dr. Kerrie Carter-Walker. 
Dr. Kerrie Carter-Walker was born and raised in the small town of Cuero, Texas. Her childhood and life experiences taught her that no matter what obstacles you encounter, your past does not dictate your future. She is a firm believer that God gives everyone gifts and talents and it is up to them to use them to fulfill a specific purpose in life. After being in education as a Teacher and Assistant Principal for 10 years, she found a new passion in life. She is an active Realtor in Austin, TX, and the Founder of iSquared Coaching an organization focused on helping women of all ages become the authentic version of themselves and live a FULL life by finding their true calling.
She has a wealth of knowledge, a great personality, and loves to serve through speaking, teaching, and coaching. Dr. Kerrie’s personal and educational experiences have given her the skills and mindset needed to be a successful Realtor, Investor, Transformational Speaker, and Coach. Dr. Kerrie’s Let’s R.I.D.E. School Tour starts in September 2022 and runs through May 2023. She will speak to 50-75 young women per campus and provide t-shirts and vision workbooks as well as a round table discussion for 10-15 aspiring entrepreneurs. The main thing that I want to convey is don't be afraid to ask for the support that you need to get you through a Quantum Leap Seasons. We often think that we need be the strong friend, mom, spouse, partner, coach, but there will be seasons that some roles may take a hit. Episode 4: Guest Pastor Courage Molina

In today's episode I had the honor of sitting with Pastor Courage Molina: 
 
Pastor Courage is a Faith Coach and everyone’s favorite Bible Teacher! 
 
She believes the foundation of becoming your most bold, confident, and courageous self is in the daily habit of studying and applying the word of God to your life! 
 
As we continue our step 1 in the STEP UP Method, Pastor Courage Molina and I had a great conversation on self-awareness. One of my favorite and biggest take-aways from today’s episode was when she said “You don’t need to audition for the specific purpose God has created for you” 
 
I hope this episode encourages you to ask yourself more questions. Don’t ever stop discovering and uncovering who you are. 
 
Remember that someone else’s lies do not need to become your belief. We have been conditioned since childhood to think a certain way, act a certain way, be a certain way. And that has truly diluted who we are truly supposed to be on this earth.

Episode 3: Step 1 In My The Step Up Method

In today's episode, I talk about the first step in my STEP UP Method.

With Self-Awareness being the first step, I wanted to give you some insight into how I use self-awareness. The interesting thing about self-awareness is that we are often asking ourselves the wrong questions.
 
Most of the time we want to know why. Why did that person hurt me? Why do they do what they do? Why does it hurt? 
 
But I like to use what I call my "What, why, and what rule" when I am doing some self-reflection & self-awareness. 
 
What occurred that made me feel uncomfortable, sad, upset, etc?
Why does that matter? Why am I giving this importance? Why is it triggering me?
and then I go back to the what. What am I making this mean for me? What happens if I stay stuck in this feeling, state of mind, or emotion?
 
Internal Self-awareness and external self-awareness are so important because the more we understand both, it easier it is to cultivate great relationships, the better communication we can have with each other, and the more confident & creative we can be about ourselves.

Welcome to the Courageous Hustler Community. Thank you for tuning in and sharing a piece of your day with me. 
This week, on the Courageous Hustler Podcast, I’ll be sharing one of my biggest fears. I have been challenging myself more and more to do more public speaking. 
This year I took Command The Stage with Patrice Washington. If you are considering becoming a transformational speaker I highly recommend this program. And because of her and this program, I have been able to step into this new lane of not being so scared to tell my story. 
I use to carry so much shame around telling my story out of fear that people would judge me for it. And the truth is once I was able to understand that there is a way you can deliver your story in a manner that will serve people was the most freeing thing ever. I share my story now in hopes to help others. I share to give others permission to do the same for themselves.
